An AHA certified representative will teach rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive. Safety Solutions and Supply will provide instruction.

An AHA certified Instructor will train your employees in First Aid, CPR, and AED training. Course format includes video-based instruction, group discussion and hands-on practice. First Aid, CPR, and AED training offers your employees a comprehensive and engaging opportunity to learn critical information to help save a life. Our courses teach basic principles:

  • How to recognize and appropriately respond to medical emergencies, and specific steps for treating injuries.
  • CPR and AED training for cardiac emergencies, and first aid for environmental emergencies, such as extreme heat or cold, bites and stings.
  • All training meets OSHA requirements.

What does OSHA require for CPR and First Aid?

The OSHA standard requires employers to ensure the ready availability of medical personnel for advice and consultation on matters of plant health (OSHA: 1910.151a). In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available (OSHA 1910.151b).

OSHA requires some industries to provide First-aid and CPR training to be conducted using the conventional methods such as lecture, demonstration, practical exercise and examination (both written and practical). The length of training must be sufficient to assure that trainees understand the concepts of first aid and can demonstrate their ability to perform the various procedures contained in the outline below.
